I shoot cars around London — owners who want their car photographed properly, dealers who need listing images that actually sell, and car meets and events. Shoots are timed around the light, which is the single biggest thing separating a good car photo from a phone snapshot in a car park.
If you've put real money and time into a car, phone photos in a supermarket car park don't do it justice. A proper shoot means picking a location that suits the car, shooting at the right time of day, and working the angles that show the shape rather than flattening it.
We'll usually go out early morning or in the hour before sunset — traffic is lighter, the light is directional and warm, and reflections behave. A typical session is one to two hours and covers static sets, detail work on the interior, wheels and badges, and rolling shots if we can do them safely.
For anyone selling, photography is the difference between a listing that gets clicks and one that gets scrolled past. A consistent set — same angles, same treatment, clean backgrounds — makes a small dealer look considerably more professional than the competition.

Finding the right spot is most of the job, and London is harder than it looks — most obvious locations are either busy, badly lit, or somewhere you'll be moved on from within ten minutes.
What works: the Docklands and the areas around the O2 for clean modern architecture and wide open tarmac, multi-storey rooftops for a skyline behind the car, the quieter industrial pockets of east London for texture, and the roads through Richmond Park and the Surrey edge for anything greener. Early morning is the unlock for all of them — empty, and the light is doing something.
I cover all of Greater London and travel out past the M25 regularly, which is often the better call for rolling shots since you need a quiet road and a second vehicle to do them safely.
